The newspaper of india

From the beginning of humanity , Sculpture and Art Manifesto or Writing are the most significant ways of conveying your point of view or sharing your knowledge for the sake of humanity.

The print media culture was started in the 1780s, introducing us to Hicky's Bengal Gazette by James Augustus Hicky.

Troubled by unjust policies of the East India company, Mr. James Augustus published the first newspaper ever, The Hicky's Bengal Gazette.

In June1923, broadcasting services were started as a private venture and by 1927, Radio broadcasting was the major medium of information.

Print media and Broadcasting media are very much responsible for the independence movements and of course for India's independence.

On 15th September 1959, Doordarshan came into existence owned by the Ministry of information and broadcasting which made television a medium of information. After some decades some privately owned media houses founded a never ending competition, some were chasing the real truth exposing discriminatory policies of the government and some were the Television rating point.

Today it's all about TRP, very few media houses doing their work honestly, few means you can count on your fingers.

Now the question is, what are the reasons?

It's a really tough question to answer but I'll try my best.

According to the recent survey of Reporters Without Borders (RSF), India ranks 142nd out of 180 countries in the Press freedom index and it's very obvious, we can clearly see the influence of the government on our media.

To be honest, it is very shameful for us, as an independent democratic country with World's biggest constitution and large population.

As a citizen of the Republic of India we should be aware of our freedom of speech and it is the responsibility of our media to make us understand the reality.
