The horrified peoples

We struggle a lot to find out the real problems in our life and when the problem is not materialistic then the process becomes more harder.

Problems like Anxiety, Trauma, PTSD (Post-Traumatic stress disorder) are the ones people scuffle with a lot. Here we are particularly talking about PTSD.

According to the American Psychiatric Association ,

"Post-Traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that may occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a terrorist act , a natural disaster , a serious accident war/combat or rape or who have been threatened with death , sexual violence or serious injury."

Now what can trigger your PTSD, a sight or a sound , smell or thought that reminds you of the traumatic incident can trigger your PTSD.

It feels like living that one horrible moment again and again and can't escape from that one moment.

Those nightmares, flashbacks, fear, guilt or loneliness, mistrust, emotions detachment or unwanted thought, they all remind you of the same terrified you looking for help wanting to get out of that place.

According to the survey conducted in the last week of April 2020 by the Department of community medicine, VMMC, 28.2% of the population suffered from PTSD during lockdown in India.

To be honest it's a big number and in India we don't give equal attention to Mental health. People did talk about it but only because it was a burning topic on social media those days, however after that some people started monitoring their mental health.

As a human we need to understand the seriousness of the problem. To save humanity we have to help people who are suffering from this disease by making them comfortable to talk about this in public.

As a responsible government we need to pass such bills which focus on citizens' mental health.
